  • Linguine pasta

  • Lemon

  • Kosher salt course

  • Olive oil one tbsp

  • Ground parmesan cheese

  • Parsley for garnishing

Cooking Instructions for this Linguine Pasta Recipe:

  1. Take a small pot and add water. Place the pot over the burner on high heat. Fill the pot until there is 1 inch of room to the top of the pot (this will prevent the water from overflowing when we add the pasta.) Remember – lots of water makes for better tasting pasta.

Boil salted water. Delicious pasta needs a lot of water around it. Do not crowd the pot.

  2. Add 1tsb salt to the water. This improves flavor and makes the water boil faster.

  3. When you see that the water is boiling, (bubbles come to the surface) add the pasta. Submerge half of the pasta in the hot water, and when the pasta softens up the rest of the noodle will slide in (this prevents you from having to break the pasta in half) when the bottom of the noodle is sot, you can push the rest down. Tips: make sure to pasta not sticking out of the water, will not cook and stay dry. For this al-dente pasta recipe set the timer to 9 minutes. You can add time if you like your noodles softer.

Submerge half the pasta, then gently push in the rest.

  4. Strain the pasta through strainer on sink while running cold water (this will save your pipes if you are not running boiling water down the drain).

    Strain the pasta.

  5. At this point, you can add grated parmesan cheese, squirt fresh lemon, fine chopped parsley and olive oil, and mix.
