This is a special culinary training/formation for disabled youth in Sacramento and Placer counties who would like to seek employment in the culinary field. MealPro provides culinary training while PRIDE provides job placement opportunities. Learn more by viewing the video below:
Our Job Training Program
MealPro's culinary training program is a two week course at MealPro's research and development kitchen located inside our headquarters in Citrus Heights, CA.
The culinary training program's mission is to become an “organizational culture hub, introducing a continuous education process for the value chain and transforming knowledge into actual business results.”
Students take courses about food safety, kitchen equipment, customer service, and get hands-on experience in food prep and cooking techniques. At the end of the two week period students will obtain their Food Handler certificate and a program diploma.
Culinary Trainee Qualifications
Willingness to learn and a desire to seek employment in the culinary industry.
Availability to attend in-person Monday - Thursday from 9am - 1pm at our culinary center located at 7433 Greenback Ln, Citrus Heights CA 95610.
Currently enrolled in PRIDE INDUSTRIES. *For those who wish to participate without enrollment in PRIDE, an interview and drug screening is required.
