Italian Coconut Pudding Recipe Ingredients

  • Pre-made Bavarian cream

  • Whipped cream topping

  • Vanilla syrup or extract

  • Coconut syrup extract

  • Coconut shavings

  • Heavy cream

  • Soft sponge cake (ladyfingers)

  • Toasted coconut flakes

Italian Coconut Pudding Recipe Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the pre-made Bavarian cream and approximately half a cup of whipped cream.

  2. Add a half cap of vanilla extract and a few drops of coconut extract to the mixture.

  3. Pour a couple of tablespoons of heavy cream into the bowl.

  4. Add a tablespoon of coconut syrup to enhance the coconut flavor.

  5. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Set aside.

  6. Sterilize the jars by placing them in boiling water for a few minutes. Remove them carefully using tongs.

  7. Cut the soft sponge cake (ladyfingers) into smaller pieces to fit the jars and place a couple of sponge cake pieces at the bottom of each jar, pressing them down gently.

  8. Transfer the coconut pudding mixture into a pastry bag and cut off the tip of the pastry bag to pipe a layer of the pudding mixture onto the ladyfinger base in each jar.

  9. Sprinkle a generous amount of toasted coconut flakes over the pudding layer. Pipe another layer of the pudding mixture on top of the coconut flakes. Repeat the process by adding another layer of toasted coconut flakes.

  10. Press down gently on the contents in each jar to ensure they are compact and garnish the top with an extra sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes.

  11. Place the lids on the jars and refrigerate for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to set.
