Tiramisu Ingredients

Tiramisu Recipe From Scratch Ingredients

  • Bavarian cream (already prepared)

  • Soft mascarpone cheese

  • Vanilla extract

  • Heavy whipping cream

  • Whipped topping

  • Ladyfinger cookies

  • Espresso coffee

  • Coffee syrup (no sugar added)

  • Chocolate granola (optional topping)

Tiramisu Recipe from Scratch Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine a half cup of Bavarian cream and half cup of soft mascarpone cheese and mix well.

  2. Add a half cap full of vanilla extract and a couple tablespoons of heavy whipping cream to thin the mixture.

  3. Gently fold in the whipped topping to create a mousse-like texture. Set the cream mixture aside.

  4. Transfer the cream mixture into a pastry bag for easy layering. Cut the tip of the pastry bag using scissors.

  5. Take a sterilized mason jar and squeeze a small amount of the cream mixture into the bottom as the first layer.

  6. Break ladyfinger cookies into pieces and place them on top of the cream layer.

  7. In a separate container, mix espresso coffee with coffee syrup. Sprinkle some of this mixture over the ladyfinger cookies and add another layer of the cream mixture on top of the soaked cookies.

  8. Repeat the layers by adding more broken ladyfinger cookies, sprinkling coffee syrup and espresso mixture, and topping with the cream mixture. Continue until the jar is filled, leaving some space at the top.

  9. For the final layer, add a generous amount of Bavarian cream on top of the jar. If desired, sprinkle chocolate granola or any other preferred toppings over the cream.

  10. Gently press down on the toppings to ensure they stick.
